The Legacy for Good Foundation is made up of a voluntary Board of Directors. Each board member volunteers their time to ensure the foundation is operating within its bylaws and overall mission.

Meet our Board of Directors!

Gina Cannady, Chairman:

Gina was born in Cullman, Alabama north of Birmingham, but was raised in New Orleans/Montgomery. She attended University & Grad School in Tuscaloosa/Oxford, England then on to Boston. She currently lives in Cullman and works in Birmingham at Legacy Community Federal Credit Union as the Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. In her spare time… what do you mean “spare time?” Gina enjoys reading “cozy” mysteries whenever she can.  The optimism of small children inspires Gina. Children are afraid of nothing and embrace everything.  Gina loves seeing how people try to help one another and supporting those who help is why she is in nonprofit work.  When asked ‘Who is a hero of yours?’ “An unsung hero. My late aunt Ginger Doyle Armstrong. She suffered from an aggressive form of Multiple Sclerosis. It took her ability to walk, her sight and part of her hearing. She never complained. Until the end she was fighting the hold MS had over her. She never gave up, no matter how much pain she was in and believed a cure would be found soon. “Gina’s little quirk is that during odd times of the day she will sing “Bibiddi Bobiddi Boo” to herself while dancing in her chair. Gina’s favorite food is coffee.

JoLyn Berry, Secretary:

JoLyn was born and raised in Waverly, Iowa and currently lives in Helena, AL with her husband and 3 kids.  JoLyn is a Branch Manager at Legacy Community Federal Credit Union. Mrs. Berry’s kids and husband inspire her.  JoLyn states that her husband pushes her to be the best she can be and her kids keep me grounded. JoLyn enjoys being in non-profit work because she likes helping others. “There is no greater reward than helping someone in need.” JoLyn’s mom is a hero of hers.  She volunteers countless hours at her church, and will do anything for anyone.  Since her retirement, she is busier than ever, but will drop everything if her family needs her (especially her grandchildren). A fun fact about JoLyn, her first concert she ever went to was Billy Joel.

Dru Kenyon, Treasurer:

Dru Kenyon was born in Saginaw, MI, but grew up in Decatur, AL.  He is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College.  He has worked for Legacy Community Federal Credit Union since 2010 and is currently the Consumer Lending Manager.  When he is away from the office, he enjoys spending time with his kids who are very active in sports and band.  Dru has taught Sunday School for over fifteen years at his church where he currently is the Youth Minister.  He is an avid sports fan who also enjoys movies, music, and reading.  He has a heart for foster children and serves with his church each year as a Big Camper at Royal Family Kids Camp.

Jenna Floore:

Jenna is from McCalla, Alabama. She has a degree in Business Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Jenna has worked for Legacy Community Federal Credit Union since 2012. She is currently the AVP of Human Resources. Jenna and her husband welcomed identical twin girls in 2020. She enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors. Her favorite thing about serving on the Legacy for Good Foundation’s Board is the opportunity to assist those in need.

Rocky Stewart:

Originally from Athens, Alabama, now lives in Birmingham and has resided there since his graduation from the University of Alabama. Rocky has three children, all who attended Mountain Brook High School and now graduates of the University of Alabama. Rocky's professional career has always been in the print, marketing and advertising field. Founder and president of Print Resources, Inc. since 1995, he still holds that position today. Much of Rocky's professional and personal efforts are in the development and promotion of credit unions and non-profit organizations. The Legacy For Good Foundation offers a great opportunity for blending both of these passions into one effort. Rocky is an avid golfer and enjoys other outside activities such as hunting and snow skiing. Rocky has a weakness for chocolate, and the first concert he attended was The Doobie Brothers.

John King:

John was born and raised in Pinson, Alabama. He is a graduate of Welch College in Nashville/Gallatin, TN and Virginia College in Birmingham. John had worked in the financial services arena since 1997, until 2018 when he went to work in IT Security at a Birmingham marketing company, then moved from there to project management with a local construction company. John and his wife have two children, and they live in the Morris, AL area. He plays drums in the praise and worship band at his church in Warrior.

“I thrive on being able to help others. Whether it is helping someone by fixing their computer, leading or teaching, or just being there, I get a charge from being able to help others.” One of his favorite quotes comes from a movie he bought for his daughter. Robots, a 2005 “kids” movie, had a quote from the main character Bigweld…his quote “See a need. Fill a need” struck home with him. And after helping found the Legacy for Good Foundation, he has worked harder to identify needs and try to fill them.

BAKER SWEDENBERG:

Baker was born in Jackson, MS and is a native of Columbus, MS. He has lived in Birmingham for 4 years now. He served as the punter for the Mississippi State University football team from 2011-2013. He holds an undergraduate degree and a masters degree in Management Information Systems from Mississippi State and is currently working on his Master of Business Administration from Florida State University. Baker has 8 years of banking/fintech experience and is a Sales Engineer at Nymbus where he provides software demo's to banks and credit unions. He has been married for 8 years and has 2 boys both under the age of 4. When he's not working and chasing his sons around, he loves to travel with his wife, cook, and play music. Baker considers himself blessed to be part of the Legacy for Good Foundation as he believes it provides an incredible opportunity for those to give and volunteer. Baker's biggest weaknesses are whole milk and new gadgets.
